Rubio Monocoat

Our furniture is finished with Rubio Monocoat hardwax oils. They provide a durable, long lasting protection. Rubio Monocoat hardwax oils are made with natural incredients only, so they are safe for you and the environment. Surfaces treated with these products are easy to maintain, and isolated scratches or damaged areas are very easy to repair, because it is possible to refinish only one spot and perfectly blend it to the rest.

Rubio Monocoat oils do not contain any volatile organic components - no solvents or water have been added to the products (0%VOC). This means that the furniture you order from us does not emit any bad smells, nor will they cause any health problems or allergic reactions caused by solvent fumes.

Rubio Monocoat hardwax oils are in compliance with the European Union toy safety standard EN71 and the EU Framework regulation 1935/2004 regarding food contact.


Osmo

For surfaces that require even greater wear and water resistance, we also use Osmo Topoil. It provides excellent protection against damage, water, and other liquids on worktops, tabletops and bathroom furniture. As it is a hardwax oil product - any future spot-repairs are easy to make. If ever the surface becomes visibly worn, simply reapply one coat of Osmo Topoil to restore it.

Osmo Topoil is in compliance with European Union standards for toy safety (EN 71.3) and food contact (EN 1186).

Where required, we can first apply a coat of Rubio to alter the tone of the wood and then a coat of transparent Osmo Topoil to give greater protection.
